Brazil ’s coach Tite has revealed that he will select PSG and Liverpool Neymar and Firmino to lead the Selecao attack in Sunday’s international friendly against Nigeria.
The South Americans will face the Super Eagles in far East as they step up preparation for the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualification campaign.
Both players started in Selecao’sThursday’s 1-1 draw with Senegal, while Firmino scored their only goal, Neymar fired blank on the day of his 100 caps and the coach is expecting the duo to wreck the Africans.
“We will play with two strikers, Neymar and Firmino, and two men on the side,” Tite told media.
“It will open up a bigger area of action in the offensive phase. Neymar has been playing like that for PSG a lot.
“After leaving Barcelona, he has been used in a central position,” he said.
“For me, football is a balance,” he continued. “When a team is overly defensive or offensive, you suffer.
“Balancing the team is our challenge. And this must be shown not just in theory, but on the field.”
Brazil will aim to end their winless run of three games when the clash will Nigeria Sunday afternoon in Singapore.
