World record-holding hurdler Tobi Amusan was defeated in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Adidas Atlanta City Games on Sunday morning.
Amusan clocked a time of 12.73 seconds, finishing second in the final under windy conditions (-2.3 m/s).
She trailed behind the United States’ Keni Harrison, who secured the victory with a time of 12.67 seconds.
Great Britain’s Cindy Sember claimed third place, finishing in 12.86 seconds.
Despite the setback, Amusan is set to continue her preparations for the upcoming Olympics.
