Too much Money! Bayern Munich midfielder apologizes for “tasteless” wads of cash video

Renato Sanches has used Facebook to apologise for a “tasteless” video he posted on Instagram, which showed the Bayern Munich midfielder with a large amount of money.

Sanches endured a testing season with Munich in 2016-2017 and struggled to justify a €35 million transfer fee after joining the German side from Benfica.

The midfielder made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, of which only six were starts, and while Sanches is considered one of the world’s most promising young talents he has failed to show that this campaign.

The 19-year-old has now drawn criticism for appearing to flaunt his lavish lifestyle on social media, after he shared a clip on Instagram of himself counting a large wad of money.

Sanches has since pulled the video and written an apology on Facebook, in which he admits the clip was “tasteless” and vows to display his humility going forward.

Sanches put on the social media website: “There are tasty and tasteless jokes. Because of the video released today, I must apologise not only for the bad taste, but also for the unpardonable and ill-considered behaviour.
