Coach of NPFL side Niger Tornadoes Hamzat Abara has stated assuredly that his side will escape the drop from the top flight at the end of the season after a run of 4 games without defeat as they intensify the battle to keep their topflight status at the end of the season.
Abara speaking in a chat with www.brila.net after Wednesday’s 1-0 home win over Katsina United said the team is well on course to survive the drop and have picked a decent form at a crucial stage which he believes will yield a more positive result for the team in their bid to ensure they play in the NPFL next season.
“Of course we are on course now because we worked for it and I kept on telling people that we are going out of this relegation and having a new chairman that supports will help the team’s quest which was lacking before.
“We belong to the Premier League and not the NNL.”
Tornadoes have won two and draw two of the last four games played in the league to keep hope alive for a push for survival.
