Coach of now relegated NPFL side Niger Tornadoes Hamzat Abara has stated that winning the Federation cup as an atonement for a bad league season is the only driving force behind the team’s run so far to the quarter-final stage of the Federation Cup.
Abara speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team has been this strong because of the collective resolve to use the Federation cup placates fans of Niger Tornadoes who must have been so disappointed following the team’s relegation from the top flight at the end of the NPFL regular season.
“We have disappointed the State Government, we have disappointed the fans and supporters.
“We have to come together, the technical crew and the players to agree to do something proper humanly possible to win the Federation cup and that has been the driving force.”
