TP Mazembe retain Confederation Cup – second team in History to do so

TP Mazembe became only the second team to successfully defend the CAF Confederation Cup since CS Sfaxien did it in 2008.

Les Corbeaux held Supersport United to a goalless result on Saturday at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the second leg of the competition.

TP Mazembe entered the tie in Pretoria with a narrow 2-1 lead in the first-leg in Lubumbashi.

It was all celebrations for Mazembe as captain Kalaba lifted the trophy amidst cheers from his colleagues.

The Congolese were 1,250,000 US Dollars richer whilst Supersport pocketed 625,000 US Dollars in prize money.
