Kaizer Chiefs will begin their Cup campaign against Royal Eagles FC in the round of 32 after the draws for this season’s competition was concluded on Thursday.
Chiefs reached the final last season, but lost to second division side TS Galaxy courtesy a Zakhele Lerato Lepasa stoppage time penalty.
This time around they’ll kick off their cup campaign against first division side Royal Eagles. The is currently battling for survival in the league.
Amakhosi’s Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi will hope for a similar run but different out by the end of the competition this season.

Akpeyi, who joined the 13 times Cup winners last year is yet to win a silverware with the club.
The Nigerian has been in good form as is the team, this season, with Chiefs sitting six points clear at the top of the PSL table.
