The Nigerian quartet of Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu, William Troost-Ekong and Rabiu Ibrahim have helped their Belgian club, KAA Gent secure qualification to the Europa League, but they now want a Champions League spot.
Simon was injured and thus couldn’t feature, but Troost-Ekong’s lucky charm and Kalu’s goal helped Gent on their way to a 5-2 win over Waregem on Thursday.

The win saw them climb and cement third spot in the post season Championship play-offs and have the chance to snatch a UEFA Champions League qualification berth on Sunday.
Defender, William Troost-Ekong tweeted on Thursday as he celebrated the win against Waregem.
His Tweet reads: “We did it! Europa league next season. Now we fight for Champions League Sunday! Thanks for the top support in the last home match. #BUFFALO”
