Edwin Okon has aimed a dig at his opposite number in the Women’s Aiteo Cup final following his side’s 1-0 victory over Ibom Angels in Yenogoa on Tuesday.
Okon led Rivers Angel to a successful defence of the Cup and credited his players for the feat; but he didn’t spare the Ibom Angels Coach, Ogbonda White.
In a chat with Brila.net the Rivers Angel gaffer said the victory was exciting on many levels and particularly because his team fought and proved they deserved the win.
He did throw in a good word for the opponents, describing the Ibom Angels side as a resilient side, but implied the Coach had some catching up to do.
The elated Okon urged his counterpart, Ogbonda White, to ‘try again next time.’
