Assistant Coach of Tunisia, Jalal Kadri has revealed their team is depleted, no thanks to COVID-19 pandemic, but he’s confident they can get a win over Nigeria.
Tunisia are struggling for form at the moment. They qualified for the round of 16 as one of the best losers after finishing third in their Group with just three points.
In addition, aleast about 12 players are doubtful for the game against Nigeria, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged their camp.
Commenting on today’s game, Jalel Kadri who represented his boss in the media conference, said they are aware of their problems, but he believes they can upset Nigeria.
“We are still having a lot of problems as far as COVID-19 pandemic is concerned. So many of our players and technical crew members are down. “
“We don’t have the details yet, but hopefully, we will get over it and get a good result against Nigeria,” he said.
Tunisia and Nigeria last met in 2019 — with the West Africans picking a narrow win, thanks to an Odion Ighalo’s solitary goal.
