Nigeria will face Angola; in their second meeting at the 2019 CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations, in the third place play-off.
The Eaglets who had defeated Angola’s Young Palancas Negras 1-0 in the group stage, lost their semi final match on penalties to Guinea; same as Angola to Cameroon, on Wednesday at the National Stadium, Dar es Salaam.
Guinea defeated Nigeria, in sudden death of a dramatic 10-9 shoot-out, after neither side managed to breach the other’s defence in regulation time.
It was a similar outcome in regulation time between Cameroon and Angola, but the Young Lions edged the opponent 5-4 in the shoot-out.
The third place match will hold on April 27, at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, 4pm local time.
Meanwhile, the final between Cameroon and Guinea will hold on April 28 at the same venue.
