U17 WWCQ: Nkiyu Knocks Officiating in Benin, Hopeful of Win in Yaoundé

Nigeria U-17 Women’s team Coach, Bala Nkiyu insists officiating in the first-leg qualifier against Cameroon hurt his team, but is confident the girls will turn the tide in the reverse fixture.

Nigeria held Cameroon 2-2 in the first-leg qualifier in Benin City last week; a result means the Flamingoes must produce their best football yet in the qualifiers when they play again this weekend.

Nkiyu told Brila Media he hopes for “fair and balanced” officiating in Yaoundé and predicts his team has a strong chance of “beating” their host.

The Flamingoes Coach noted that his players are “more relaxed” and the girls know the importance of being at the world cup.
