U17WWC: Olowookere to make changes to Flamingos squad for New Zealand clash

Nigeria’s U17 Women NT Coach, Bankole Olowookere insists his girls have learnt their lesson following the defeat to Germany in the opening game of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, and will come out better against New Zealand later today.

Olowookere and his girls will be aiming to bounce back from the opening day setback.

Speaking ahead of the second Group game against New Zealand, Coach Olowookere stated that, the defeat to Germany was a good lesson for his girls, adding that, they’ll make necessary correction.

“It was a beautiful loss to us as a team, because we learnt from it but we, indeed wanted to win and cause an upset, because we played against a good side.

“After the game against Germany, we gave the girls the encouragement that they deserved and so far so good, they have responded and they are ready to give their best against New Zealand.”

The gaffer also revealed, that he’ll make changes to the team for the clash against New Zealand.

“Definitely there will be a change in the team, it’s only when you win that you keep a winning team.

“We have worked well and we’ll try to correct some of the errors in the previous game and we are hoping for a better outing,” He concluded.
