U20 AFCON: Bosso expects Tough game from Mozambique

Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso says Mozambique will be hard nut to crack and his side will be ready for the challenge when they return to action at the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, on Saturday.

Nigeria and Mozambique will close out their group phase, in Ismailia, and in a crucial game with major implications for whoever loses.

Both sides have picked at least a point, Mozambique have a point from the goalless outcome against Egypt, but lost 3-0 to Senegal.

On the other hand, Nigeria recovered from the set back against Senegal to beat host nation, Egypt, at the Cairo International Stadium.

Nigeria, who are seven-time champions, can still qualify for the quarter-final with six points, and the gaffer says they’re not taking Dario Monteiro’s Os Mambas lightly.

“Mozambique is not a push over team because I saw their match against Egypt. They played well and they’re determined, so we don’t want to take chances. We have to go all out to get the maximum points,” Bosso said.

“The first match against Senegal we had an edge to win that match, but they took the lead and the second match against the hosts, Egypt was a very technical team.”
