Ex-International, Ifeanyi Udeze has hailed his former teammate in the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, coming after the later has bagged the Coach award in Holland.
The former WBA left-back while answering questions on brila FM’s breakfast sports show, “Oliseh is the definition of a true leader,” Oliseh doesn’t compromise, He’s a perfect example of a true leader,” Udeze told www.brila.net
Udeze expressed his happiness in Oliseh’s recent success in the Dutch second division, ” He has done well, he has shown the world his capacity in management, I think he deserves another award,” Udeze said, jokingly.
The Fortuna Sittard coach, Sunday Oliseh was earlier voted the best coach in the first half of the Dutch second division this season.
Fortuna Sittard had confirmed it in their verified Twitter handle.
“Sunday Oliseh has been named the best trainer of the first period.”
“Perr Sabry was named the best talent of the first period,” the club wrote on their handle.
After taking over as coach of Fortuna last season, Oliseh helped the club to escape relegation.
This season his team are among the candidates for promotion to the top flight league as they are presented in the third position, six points behind leaders Jong Ajax and four points behind second-placed NEC Nijmegen.
He clinched the award base on his team performance despite their limited budget, and their run of six wins, two draws, and three losses also played a part particularly their one-month unbeaten run.
Speaking on the award, Oliseh who handled the Super Eagles of Nigeria before moving to the team dedicated it to his players, the management of the team and his assistants.
