Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Women Football League Ayo Abdulrahaman has stated that the uncertainty surrounding the return of the Nigerian women football league will not affect the women’s national age-grade teams.
Abdulrahman speaking in a chat with brila.net said the chances of women league returning is still hanging but that everyone fully understands the circumstantial cause of those which is not far from the Covid-19 pandemic.
He thereafter added that the rescheduling of the world cup for the U17 and U20 women teams respectively will come as an advantage to Nigeria eventually.
“The appurtenances about whether we are going to play football this year is still hanging, weather we play football this year or not what I know is that every club is aware of these changes and the circumstances surrounding the disruption in world football.
“So what I know is that it will not have a negative effects on Nigeria because most women football clubs almost 90 percent are still intact in their camps. So it’s still going to be an advantage whichever way it comes.”
