Former Eagles forward Michael Uchebo fired blank in his NPFL debut this season for Rangers Int’l as they were burnt by MFM FC in Lagos on Wednesday.
Uchebo played 90 minutes but could not help the Flying Antelopes avoid defeat as they lost 1-0 at the Agege Stadium.
In a chat with www.brila.net after the match, the gangling striker said he was simply unlucky not to have registered his name on the score sheet. Indeed a brilliant close range save by MFM FC goalie Folarin Abayomi denied Uchebo a goal as well as several wasted opportunities.
The forward dismissed concerns he was under pressure to perform, but enthused “God can help me to score”.
