Super Falcons midfielder, Christy Ucheibe has reached another career milestone, making her 150th appearance for Portuguese giants SL Benfica in their recent league clash against Damaiense.
Ucheibe, who joined Benfica in 2020, has been instrumental in the club’s domestic dominance and growing reputation in European competitions.
Since her arrival, the 23-year-old midfield powerhouse has played a pivotal role in securing four consecutive Campeonato Nacional Feminino titles, ensuring Benfica’s continued reign in Portugal.
Beyond league glory, Ucheibe has also helped Benfica win four straight Taça da Liga trophies and multiple Supertaca de Portugal titles, cementing her legacy as one of the club’s most decorated midfielders.
Her consistent performances have not gone unnoticed on the international stage.
Since making her senior Super Falcons debut in 2022, Ucheibe has represented Nigeria at major tournaments, including the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
She rose through the ranks after starring for Nigeria’s U-20 side, proving her worth as a midfield enforcer.
