Francis Uzoho on Sunday showed he is in the best form of his life, as he contributed to his side’s first win in their 1-3 victory away to Rayo Majadahonda in a Spanish Segunda fixture.
It was Elche’s first victory in seven matches which makes it special for Uzoho who only last Sunday kept a clean sheet against Sporting Gijon after returning from injury to share the points.
“Important win today. In Christ Alone,” posted Uzoho after the match.
Sadly for the 19-year-old, he failed to keep a clean sheet as he allowed Aitor Ruibal get one past him for the hosts side even though it was inconsequential.
An own goal by Luso in the 57th minute opened the goals account for Elche before Ivan Sanchez doubled their lead two minutes later.
The Super Eagles Number one made four key saves and had a game rating of 7.0 to help Elche move to 14th on the log with 20 points from 18 games.
