Victor Moses contributed a goal as Spartak Moscow secured hard fought 3-2 away win against Rostov in their Russian Premier League clash on Sunday.
Moses who has scored just twice since joining the club on loan from Chelsea last summer had a game to remember on the night.
The former Nigerian international opened scoring for Spartak Moscow in the 23rd minute.
The winger has now scored three goals in 13 league appearances for the visitors.
Moses’ goal only lasted for four minutes as his teammate, Pavel Yevgenyevich Maslov scored an own goal to level the scores.
Russian midfielder Georgi Aleksandrovich Makhatadze put the hosts in front for the first time in the 32nd minute with a terrific finish.
A brace from Aleksandr Sobolev in the 44th and 3rd minutes respectively however handed the maximum points back to Spartak Moscow.
Victor Moses was replaced by Andrey Eschenko 10 minutes from time as Spartak Moscow held on for the crucial win.
As a result of the victory, Domenico Tedesco’s side occupies the second spot with 47 points from 24 games.
Spartak Moscow will now turn their attention to the derby match with Locomotive Moscow next week Sunday.
