Victor Osimhen’s debut for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga was drama filled.

Wolfsburg hosted Borussia Monchengladbach, with Osimhen starting off the bench in the 59th minute.

Barely 20 minutes into the game, the referee stopped play after a storm of hailstones rained on the Volkswagen Arena. Play was delayed for 25 minutes with the scores tied at 1-1.

After an approximately 25-minute wait, the teams are back out and after a short warm-up play should resume shortly. #WOBBMG

The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup revelation has been tipped to shine in Germany and has caught the eyes of the Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr – despite not playing a single senior game and still recovering from a four-month injury spell at the time.

Any how, he got a recall after the play couldn’t honor the first call up. And is expected to join the national team’s camp in Corsica on or before 24 May.

Meanwhile, his numbers on Saturday were a bit impressive: Three take on, one interception, a block and a successful aerial duel per squawka match stats.

However, he still managed to find his way into Referee Christian Dingert’s book for a foul on the 89th minute; his lowest point in the contest.

The brief game time would have come as a breath of fresh air for the Striker and hopefully, he may get more time under his belt in the last game of the season away to Relegation playoff candidate, Hamburger SV.
