Former AC Milan President, Silvio Berlusconi says Napoli is not the same team without striker, Victor Osimhen.
Berlusconi, 86, insists the striker alongside his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are by far the best players in the Italian league this season and would be a great addition for any side.
The former Italy’s prime minister was speaking in the wake of Napoli’s heavy home defeat to his former side at the Diego Maradona’s Stadium on Sunday.
“Players like Kvaratskhelia or Osimhen would go well in any team in the world,” Berlusconi side in an interview published in Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia have 47-goal contributions for Napoli in the Serie A so far this season.
Berlusconi was however sad that Osimhen missed Napoli’s home defeat to AC Milan and hopes he’ll recover to take part in next week’s UEFA Champions League fixtures between both side.
“In this sense, Osimhen’s injury is truly a shame: it takes away an element of great charm from the match against Milan last Sunday,” the former AC Milan President said.
Osimhen who has 21 goals in the Serie A this season will also miss Napoli’s fixture against Lecce this Friday.
