Victor Osimhen Joins Super Eagles camp and Rearing to Fly

Victor Osimhen arrived the Super Eagles camp in France and on Wednesday promised to “work hard to the common good of the team” – whatever that means.

Osimhen, left his base in Germany on Tuesday having played a cameo in VFL Wolfsburg’s relegation play off match against Eintracht Braunschweig.

The 18-year-old forward was introduced late on in the 1-0 win as Wolfsburg secured their Bundesliga place winning 2-0 on aggregate.

Osimhen last featured actively for Nigeria in the U17s at the 2015 World Cup in Chile.

The forward finished the tournament with 10 goals, the most goals scored by a player in a tournament.

He promised to bring that form to the Super Eagles when he spoke on the official twitter handle of the team.

The player must have warmed himself to Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr earning one call up to the national team after another  despite not playing more than 46 minutes of competitive football since 2015.

But, hey Nigerians, Victor Osimhen “will give his best and work hard to the common good of the team…” So help him God!
