After the technical meeting held at the indoor sports of Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba, the hostilities begin tomorrow Monday with 8 matches in both male and female categories.
Speaking with the brila.net on the second edition of the premier league, the President of the Nigeria volleyball federation, Musa Nimrod said the league though without a sponsor will parade the best volleyball male & female volleyball clubs in the country.
“With the provision of logistics, the premier league management committee has put all necessary machinery in place to ensure a successful hosting of the tournament”, Nimrod emphasizes.
The chairman of the league management committee, Prof Olatunde Morakinyo reiterated the commitment of the committee to stage the best premier league having successfully concluded the division one edition in Ilorin few days ago.
The Zonal representative and member of the LMC, Famous Daunemigha welcomed the clubs, officials and other stakeholders to Asaba enjoining them to put heads together to ensure a successful tournament.
The Chairman of the Nigeria volleyball Referees Association, Samuel Timothy said competent and highly rated referees are on ground to handle the matches. charging all the participating teams to strictly adhere to the rules of the games.
The clubs are of high hopes to display an high level of volleyball proweress as the tournament serves off tomorrow Monday.
