Toni Payne has been one of Nigeria’s stand out performers at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and the Winger admits she’s having one of her best times as a footballer, representing the Super Falcons.
Payne, who recently switched allegiance from the USA to Nigeria has gone on to quickly become an integral member of the Super Falcons.
The attacker, however, is attending her first major tournament with Nigeria at the WAFCON.
She has played every minute Nigeria’s three games so far in the tournament.
In a recent Social media post, Payne described the experience.
“Wearing this shirt means everything,” she wrote on Instagram.
Toni Payne and her sister, Nicole already made history at the tournament, by becoming the first set of siblings to start a game for Nigeria.
Both featured in Nigeria’s final group game against the Swallows of Burundi, which the Falcons won 4-0.
