Nigeria coach Salisu Yusuf says he will not be overly disappointed if his team fail to progress from the group stage of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles are in trouble of being eliminated after amassing two points from two matches in Group A following the goalless draw against Guinea on Saturday, September 16.
They must win their final match against hosts Ghana on Monday, September 18 to stand a chance of reaching the semi-final.
Yusuf seems to be prepared for the worst possible outcome.
“It’s football we are playing and we have our own target with the WAFU,” said the Super Eagles coach.
“Like I told you earlier, we want to use the WAFU to prepare the CHAN team.
“It’s football and it didn’t finish well against Guinea.
“We have a game to play so anything can happen.”
