Super Falcons gaffer Randy Waldrum has stated that his aim is to help the the team qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons are scheduled to compete at the 2022 CAF African Women’s Championship billed for Morocco next month.
The tournament also serves as the qualifiers for the World Cup in New Zealand and Australia later next year.
Speaking on his team’s target at the AFCON, Waldrum insists the World Cup ticket isn’t negotiable.
“Probably the two biggest things that come to mind is thinking ahead of the importance of qualifying; the world cup qualification has always been the goal,” Waldrum told NFF TV.
“As much as we want to win the AFCON championship – the most important thing right now is qualifying.”
“Then, the other thing a Coach is always concerned with is preparation – are we getting enough preparation, are we getting things done the right way.”
