Waldrum talks up Nigeria vs Cameroon QF Clash

Super Falcons head Coach Randy Waldrum says Nigeria will be ready to take on Cameroon when the teams clash in the quarter-final of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Falcons finished second behind South Africa in Group C with six points – losing to South Africa and later defeated Botswana and Burundi.

Cameroon also qualified as runner up in Group B with five points behind Zambia who themselves won the Group with seven points.

The clash is slated for Thursday in Casablanca, and Waldrum said the team will be ready for the challenge.

“We understand the history between Nigeria and Cameroon. It will be a difficult game and we are looking forward to the game,” the Falcons Coach stressed.

“Changing of venue won’t be any factor, the pitch will be fantastic and the players are also looking forward to the game,” He said in his post match interview.

The Super Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lioness in the final of 2016 edition hosted by Cameroon.
