Waldrum’s treatment of Nigerian based players is a slap on the NWPL – Okara

Bayelsa Queens coach Domo Okara has stated that the current treatment of Nigerian league players by the coach of the Nigeria’s Super Falcons Randy Waldrum is a slap on the Nigeria Women’s Premier League.

Coach Okara made this statement after the Falcons head coach released a list of 23 players for next month’s Invitational tourney of Mexico without any home based player ahead of the team’s preparation for the 2023 Women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Okara speaking in a chat with www.brila.net stressed that the constant overlooking of homebased players rubbishes the efforts and takes off competition in the women’s national team especially after having seen players in the NWPL also showcase themselves in the CAF women’s Champions League.
