Watford 0-3 Brighton: Success unimpressive in new jersey number, Welbeck new number 10

Isaac Success was called off the bench in the 75th minute with Watford trailing Brighton 2-0 at Vicarage Road in their EPL opener, but, the Nigerian couldn’t inspire his side’s fight-back and they finally fell 3-0.

Success was introduced for Andre Gray, but he never really brought the bite Javi Gracia had hoped to see in his £30,000 (www.capology.com) per-week earning player.

The Nigerian rated low; only better than Hornets’ goalkeeper Ben Foster, of all 27 players who got minutes on Saturday.

He didn’t register a shot in the 15 minutes of regular time played or for the extra 4 minutes added.

Success in his new jersey number 22, had very little of what his name implied as well with dribbles, failing to complete any and didn’t contribute to the team’s defensive play.

It was indeed a sad day for Watford, and the fans obviously had very little to cheer as they started towards the exit long before the final whistle.

Prior the kick-off Watford unveiled two new signings, Ismaïla Sarr and Danny Welbeck, the latter displaying the jersey number 10 – Success’ old number.
