Watford boss Slaven Bilic expects tasks Samuel Kalu to continue fine form

Watford manager Slaven Bilic insists Samuel Kalu is a player with enormous qualities and he’s expecting more from the player.

Kalu enjoyed a outing as Watford battled to a 1-0 win against Wigan Athletic last weekend.

The former Girondins Bordeaux player came on in the second half Ken Sema and made instant impact, opening the game up for his side.

Kalu’s sudden resurgence has surprised many fans of the club, but Bilic stated that the best is yet to come from the Nigerian international.

“He’s a player that has got more than something,” Bilic was quoted by the Watford Observer.

“He wasn’t fit when we arrived, he still isn’t fully fit, but he’s got something special: a change of pace, a change of direction, good on the ball. His first touch and movement are good, he strikes a ball well.

“He’s a very useful player and we are expecting a lot from him.”

The 25-year-old who was constantly overlooked by previous manager Rob Edwards has made four league appearances for the Hornets this season.
