William Troost-Ekong is battling to be fit for Watford’s Skybet Championship match against Luton Town.
Ekong was substituted as a precaution last Friday night at home to Reading, but the center half is yet to fully recover from the injury.
The Hornets said in a statement on their official website on Thursday that the 27-year-old is not totally out of contention for the trip against Luton.
The club stated he will undergo a further test on Friday to determine if he will be involved in the match.
Ekong has been ever-present in coach Muñoz Xisco’s side, playing key roles in their rise to second on the table.
Aside from Ekong, the Club is also sweating over the fitness of Nathan Chalobah and Tom Cleverley.
