WC Qualifiers: Rohr shuts door on new players for Super Eagles

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has put on hold the possibility of inviting new players to the team ahead of upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Rohr told the NFF communication department that, it is too late to try out new players in the team ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The 66-year-old stated that bringing in new players might disrupt his plans for the World Cup qualifiers next year.

The German tactician also lauded the Super Eagles away record where they were unbeaten on the road throughout the AFCON qualifiers.

“We cannot try new players now, it’s too late now it is becoming serious world cup qualifications.”

“The record of our result is very good and I know that we are unbeaten in away games in the qualifiers which is wonderful, its a record and we will like to continue and we want to be always the best but some time the other ones also can make a result, you can’t always win your matches. ” He said.
