Technical adviser Stanley Eguma has explained the reason for the NPFL champion’s decision to pull out of the incoming season’s FA Cup.
Eguma recounted the hurdles and woes they passed through over the years from playing on the continent and during his days at Enyimba when they won the CAF champions league.
Eguma told brila.net stated that the club needs the time to focus and also they have had to review why Nigerian clubs don’t perform well on the continent and then, picking the shortcomings, one after the other to effect changes.
The coach believes continental football success is more important to the football club at this moment because they have all that it takes to achieve success in terms of sponsorship and the management’s financial backing.
