Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong is delighted with Watford’s promotion to the Premier League.
Ekong played all the minutes as the Hornets sealed their return to the top flight division with a 1-0 win over Milwall at the Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Ismaila Sarr netted the decisive goal from the penalty spot after he was brought down and Ekong was part of the formidable defensive unit that protected the lead.
The Super Eagles Vice-captain expressed his happiness a few hours after his return to the Premier League was confirmed.
”WE ARE GOING UP!!!,” An excited Troost-Ekong wrote on Twitter.
Troost-Ekong who signed for the club from Udinese last summer started 32 of Watford’s 44 league games this season.
Watford are second in the Skybet championship table with 88 points from 44 games.
