We Didn’t Play to Our Potentials against Akwa United – Fatai Osho

Enyimba head Coach, Fatai Osho has expressed disappoint with his side’s draw against Akwa United in midweek.

Akwa United scored a late equalizer to snatch a point from encounter at the Enyimba Stadium.

Enyimba were second best for most of the game, however Osho insisted his side had no reason to concede late.

“Very painful one, the way and manner we conceded that goal is quite demoralizing. I see no reason why we have to concede at that time.”He said in his post match conference.

Reacting to his side’s display against the opponents who they have dominated in past, Osho admitted that the team did not play to its full potential and he blamed fatigue for the underwhelming performance.

“I have to look more into that if is is fatigue or whatever, but to me I know they did not play to their potential, they looked sluggish.

“We need to rest some players, it is quite important and you can see that Nelson that started the first half could not continue, he suffered a hamstring and we had to take him out, maybe we have to do a little bit of rotation also. They have been playing too many matches lately. It is so clear that they looked a bit tired.”

Enyimba will aim to bounce back when they take on Jigawa Golden Stars and Warri Wolves in their next matches.
