“We didn’t show Enyimba any respect”, Says Katsina boss Azeez Mohammed

Technical adviser of Katsina United Azeez Mohammed has heaped praises on his players, following their emphatic win over Enyimba on Sunday.

Katsina United outclassed the eight-time Nigerian champions in the matchday 27 of the Nigeria Professional Football League defeated at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

Three first-half goals from Samuel Kalu, Rasheed Ahmad, and Mahmud Abdulwasiu put the Changi Boys in perfect control of the game, but before Anayo Iwuala pulled one back for the People’s Elephants.

In his post-match reactions Azeez Mohammed, and said he’s happy with the progress he has made under him.

On the win over Enyimba, he opined that his boys didn’t show the Fatai Osho’s tutored side the respect they wanted in the game.

“We have improved a little bit from the last game and I hope we improve more than this. Enyimba is not a small team but we are happy that we did not respect them too much and didn’t feel overconfident after scoring 3 goals, we maintained our tempo and win the game.”

“We lost 3 games and the teams we played against are not small teams, the only game I think we should have picked a point is Adamawa United, against them we got a penalty 2 minutes from time and the referee denied us,” he said.
