Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is unhappy with how his side allowed Alex Iwobi to breach their defense on Thursday.
Howe’s were close to picking a point at the Goodison Park, but Iwobi has another idea as he netted a sweet winner in the 99th minute.
Newcastle United gave the ball away in the middle of the park, then Iwobi react quickest by picking up possession and dribbled a man. He then exchanged passes with Calvert Lewin, before firing a into the bottom left corner to win the game .
Reacting to the game, Howe stated that his side made a costly error that led to a goal .
“The game was there for us but we made some poor decisions with the ball by our high standards.
“You’re always liable to counter-attacks and moments that can still cost you the game.”
“You have to be very alert and we weren’t. We made a bad mistake for the goal (scored by Iwobi) and it cost us.” Howe said to the press after the game.
