The Super Eagles are not only hoping to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but want to make a meaningful impact at the tournament.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick, met with the players in London and he revealed they are committed to the task and are ready to give everything to ensure that Nigeria is well represented.
The Super Eagles will play Ghana in the final round of the qualifiers in March and the overall winner of the two-legged ties will qualify for the World football biggest Fiesta to be hosted Qatar.
“I’m so proud of the committment and zeal I’m seeing and getting from the team.”
“From players like Etebo, Kelechi, Troost and new lad, Lookman, the message was and is clear; we will play at the World Cup and give a good account of ourselves. We are not going to Qatar to make up the numbers.” Pinnick said.
The Super Eagles have played at the FIFA World Cup on five different occasions, however they only managed to make it out of Group phase twice.
