We want to restore our confidence against Botswana — Ebi

Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi said the team has moved on from defeat to South Africa and is ready to face Group Leaders Botswana.

The Falcons are currently third on the WAFCON Group C table, following defeat to Bayana Bayana on Monday and they are condemned to get a good result against Botswana who dispatched Burundi 4-2 the same day.

Failure to get good results in the second game against Botswana means the defending Champions could kiss the tournament goodbye.

“We feel bad to have lost the opening match, and against South Africa for that matter, but we have been able to put that behind us.”

“We resolved immediately after the match that we will give what it takes to win all remaining games.

“There is no need for too many words. All we want to do is get the win against Botswana to restore our confidence, and then we can take things from there.” Ebi told the press in Wednesday’s news conference.

Meanwhile, the Falcons will have to deal with the loss of Asisat Oshoala who returned to Spain, following the injury she sustained in the game against South Africa.
