Captain of Nigeria’s U20 national team Ikouwem Utin has promised Nigerians that the Flying Eagles will send Senegal packing later this evening at the ongoing FIFA U20 world cup when both side renew rivalry in the tournament’s first knockout round.
Utin speaking ahead of this tie in a chat with www.brila.net said the Senegalese no doubt have had a better run in the tournament than Nigeria but are nonetheless a familiar for.
He added that having been beaten by this same Senegalese side back at the WAFU cup, the Flying Eagles will approach the game with a different mentality and do everything possible to ensure they pick qualification ahead of Senegal tonight.
“Senegal in this tournament are a good side, they have won two games and drawn one. I think they are good and we met them at the WAFU cup.
This one is world cup and we are going to play them with another mentality that we must win so that we qualify because if we don’t win them we can’t qualify because it’s not like group stage, it’s all about qualification and we are going to make sure that we qualify.”
