Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has said he won’t blame any player for the 2-0 defeat to South Africa in Uyo on Saturday.
Tokelo Rantie and Percy Tau struck to give the South Africa their first win against Nigeria in a competitive game, and Rohr admits it was a deserving win for the visitors.
In his post match presser the 63-year-old said , ‘We win and lose together. we were in control of the game until the first goal went in.
‘In such positions it’s hard to blame the goalkeeper. We had the options of Ezenwa and Alampasu, but we were confident Akpeyi can do the job and we still are.
‘But this defeat was not the fault of the goalkeeper,’ Rohr stressed.
