We won’t underate Seychelles and Egypt – John Ogu

Hapoel Beersheva of Israel and Eagles midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has revealed that what is left for the players is to ensure they play their game as well as work for each other.

According to the former Academica De Coimbra of Portugal midfielder, while speaking with www.brila.net, the teams (Seychelles and Egypt) are not to be overlooked despite the fact that the matches are just games to prepare the team for the AFCON proper later this year in Egypt.

Despite being excited by the call up to once again represent his country, Ogu has switched his attention immediately as to what he expects from both fixtures, while also not playing down on their significance.

“With the manager and quality of players, we have in the country, especially with those that have been called up, all we need to do is ensure that we play our game and work for each other and just ensure we do our thing”.

“I keep saying it that in football, anything can happen. They are not countries to be overlooked, and as such, we will try to go out and ensure we represent our country in the best way we can.

The versatile midfielder – who made his international bow in 2013 and has won 19 caps – will be looking to add to that in both fixtures later this month.
