Everton star Alex Iwobi says the Super Eagles will do everything possible to get maximum points when they face Guinea Bissau in a doubleheader 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
The three time African Champions will clash with the Djurtus at the Moshood Abiola’s Stadium on Friday, before traveling September 24 stadium in Bissau for the second leg.
“We’re very confident that we have very good players. So, I won’t promise anything, but I know that we will give our hundred per cent to try and win this game, and we’ll do our best.” Iwobi said ahead of the game in Abuja.
The Super Eagles hold just two points lead ahead of their opponents in Group A standing, and another three victory means the Jose Peseiro’s side will edge closer to qualification for 2024 African Cup of Nations to hosted by Cote D’Ivoire.
“We are preparing to make sure that we do everything we can,” Iwobi added.
“So, we are going into the game feeling confident. So, I trust my players, I trust my team and trust Nigeria that we’ll be able to get that result.” He concluded.
