Alex Iwobi says he is gutted with the Super Eagles display in their African cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone on Friday.
Iwobi scored a brace, but it counted for nothing as the Super Eagles went on surrender their four goals lead and settle for a draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Friday.
The Everton forward described the results as disappointing in a social media post on Friday and pleaded that the team will work hard to put things right in the subsequent games.
“Deeply Disappointed, we’ll Work To Put Things Right,” he said.
The Super Eagles are expected to fly to Freetown on Monday for the reversed fixtures of the game.
The game will be played on Tuesday at the Freetown national stadium.
