Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi delivered a commanding performance and registered an assist as Leicester City wrapped up their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Despite their confirmed relegation, the Foxes were eager to end the season on a high note at the King Power Stadium.

Ndidi, featuring in his 28th league game of the season, played a pivotal role in midfield, showcasing his trademark tenacity and composure.

Veteran striker Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in the 28th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse to slot home from close range.

The early goal set the tone for Leicester, who controlled much of the game with sharp passing and disciplined pressing.

Ndidi was instrumental throughout the match, recording one key pass, one clearance, four tackles, and an interception.

His work rate and ball-winning ability disrupted Ipswich’s rhythm and kept the visitors on the back foot for most of the encounter.

Ipswich came close to finding an equaliser in the second half when George Hirst forced Leicester goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk into a vital save shortly after the hour mark.

However, any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the 69th minute. Kasey McAteer curled a well-placed shot into the bottom corner for his first Premier League goal thanks to an assist from Ndidi – his fifth.

With the game well in hand, Ndidi received a warm ovation from the home crowd when he was substituted in the 88th minute for Oliver Skipp.

While the result couldn’t undo Leicester’s relegation, it offered a moment of redemption and pride as they now prepare for life in the Championship.

For Ndidi, his strong end-of-season display could spark interest from top-flight clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
