Leicester City Manager, Brendan Rodger has confirmed that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has had a surgery on his injured knee and will be out of action for the rest of the season.
Ndidi came off injured during Leicester’s second leg clash with Rennes in the UEFA Europa Conference League last month and has since had surgery.
The 25 year-old Nigeria international damaged his medial ligament and missed the World Cup qualification playoff against Ghana.
Giving an update on the Midfielder’s injury, Leicester City Manager, Brendan Rodgers has now revealed he will play no further part in the 2021/22 season for the team.
“Wilfred Ndidi unfortunately will be out for the season, it’s a shame for us but he’ll get ready for next season.
“It’s unfortunate. He’s been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He picked up a nasty injury that he’s had to have surgery on and he’ll recover now until June.”
