Women’s football: Africa should focus on making more impact – Danjuma

Coach of Nigeria’s U20 women national team Falconets Christopher Danjuma has stated that Africa should focus more on making impact at the global level to be able to command the regard of others at the global level in women Football.

Danjuma said this in a chat with brila.net while reacting to FIFA’s decision to allocate Africa an extra slot to the three on ground before to make a total of four following the expansion of the FIFA women’s world cup to 24. He stressed that Africa should make more impact to truly command more slots.
“I think we should be having more than four, it’s a good one, it’s a development in the right direction. We should just try to make sure we get more slots and this will only come by the impact we are able to make by this chance that they’ve given to us. It is not out of our reach, the only thing is we should look inward as an Africa nation and develop our team before the world cup.”
