Yahaya excited with D’Tigers return, confident of making world cup roster

Kano Pillars basketball club player Abdul Yahaya has expressed delight to be back in the national team after making the list of players invited for the FIBA world cup camping exercise released yesterday by D’Tigers coach Alex Nwora.

Yahaya speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he is no novice in the national team and believes very well in his ability to make the final world cup roster as part of the few senior players in the team despite been a home based player. He added that he knows what it takes to be in the national team and he would bring his all to the table.
“I know what it takes to be in the national team camp because I have been there since 2013 so I am not a rookie in that place any more.
“I have been teammate for long with Iyke Diogu and apart from Diogu, Alfarouq, Alade Aminu, right now I think I am one of the oldest there. So I know what it takes to be in the national team camp.
The camping exercise will commence on the 7th of July 2019 in the United state of America.
