Yira Sor credits Genk’s coach for his match winner against Zulte Waregem

Yira Sor has revealed the conversation he had with coach Wouter Vrancken in the wake of his full debut for Genk last weekend.

The Nigerian junior international was handed his first start by coach Wouter Vrancken in place of John Paintsil who was rested.

Sor became instant hit as he was the match winner against Zulte Waregem as his goal made the difference in the difficult game.

The 22-year-old Nigerian says he is grateful to his coach for the confidence and the opportunities he gave him before the kick off.

“The coach  told me before the match that I shouldn’t have any doubts. Just play relaxed and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.”

“I had to play football on instinct and I think I succeeded. I rarely score with the left, but this was one of my better goals,” Yira Collins Sor told the Belgian press.

The former Slavia Prague player has made four appearances for the club since his switch from Czech Republic to Belgium.
